Contrary to what we are made to believe, places are anything but stable, always in a state of flux and transformation. Not Without a Trace is a participatory project that sets out to uncover the intricate connections between people and places.
For this project you are invited to drop-in to map, layer and trace the places, perspectives and viewpoints that cannot normally be accessed by conventional maps. By way of your contributions we will set out to capture fragments of the forgotten, the invisible, the contested and the magical places in Portland to collectively recreate a new, meaningful map that gestures towards the coexistence of multiplicity and the celebration of difference.
