Calum Kirkland specialises in photography and filmmaking and is about to graduate in Media Production at Bournemouth University. He is hoping to work his way into the industry through becoming a runner or through freelance work.
“So far the programme has caused me to look at Portland in a more reflective way. Where I have lived here all my life it is easy to lose the sense of awe that the island brings to the people who aren’t familiar with it and I think that the programme has brought back a lot of the awe that I wouldn’t have otherwise felt. I want to focus on the areas of Portland that are lesser known and that hold particular value to me and try to translate these feelings for other people to enjoy.”
