Miss High Leg Kick is a live artist whose work involves humour, audience engagement, a love of spectacle and a celebration of the everyday. She has created large-scale outdoor works (e.g. Miss High Leg Kick’s Fashion Bus in Trafalgar Square) and innovative interactive performance theatre pieces (Duckie’s Olivier Award winning C’est Barbican!). Miss High Leg Kick’s Audition Project brought 75 Live Artists onto the Birmingham Hippodrome stage to re-enact A Chorus Line for a “Redux” film which toured the UK as an outdoor participatory event. International collaborations include Bodies International (online aerobics-dance troupe videos and large-scale live outdoor participation event) at Art Basel Miami.
Recent work Orchestral Manoeuvres in Live Art is a choreographed piece featuring Live artists, classical musicians and a conductor. Currently she is in R&D for new work inspired by Kabuki. Miss High Leg Kick is an Associate Artist of “post-queer performance and events collective” Duckie.
