Common land is shared space. Commissioned for the 2021 b-side Festival, sound artist and radio producer Jo Tyler produced three podcasts re-sharing Portland with the world the sounds and experience of art and living that is Portland shaped, inspired by the unique quality of the sound experience on Portland and the space it occupies.
Framed by tradition and terms specific to the land these three podcasts - Tithing, Hefting and Enclosure are an audio collage of sounds and voices merged from all aspects of the island - commencing in July, encompassing Lammas Day in August and the Festival in September 2021.
